Top Green Blog acquired by Discovery

There was a major acquisition in the green blogosphere announced today. No. It wasn't Rhapsody in Green. TreeHugger, the top green blog, and a top 20 blog overall, was acquired by Discovery. They announced it on their blog under the headline: TreeHugger Acquires Discovery Communications. Hat tip to Target Green. The move has garnered quite a bit of MSM coverage.

As of the time of this post, there were 32 comments on the blog post and they were pretty evenly divided between those in favor of the move and those opposed. They are an instructive read for those of us in green communications.
