PRWeek leads the Pack

As I have posted numerous times on this blog, PRWeek is really leading the way on green communications. They have a blog devoted to the topic and have held two conferences, one of which I attended. They printed an entirely green issue of their publication (in the two PRSA publications I receive, I'm still waiting for the first green article, let alone issue).

Now, they have implemented something I've advocated for some time: an RSS feed for their green articles. It's in their list of RSS feeds and has an accompanying green section on the web site, but here's the feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/PRWeekGreen. It appears that the feed was added two weeks ago and it would be interesting to know how much it increases the numbers of people who read their articles. It's not a full text feed, but it's better than nothing. I immediately subscribed through Google Reader, so you should start to see some articles appearing in my reading list on the right.

Speaking of PRWeek and green, there's an interesting article in the October 22 issue (which I just received today) about how Al Gore's Nobel Prize has changed the climate for green communicators. They quote several who say that it has decreased skepticism of their message and helped illustrate how climate change is no longer just an issue on the fringes of political discourse.
