EPA Awards make good Green PR

The EPA has several voluntary programs that award companies who do responsible things. Communicators looking to show their company's green credentials would be wise to investigate those programs to see what opportunities they may provide.

Recently, my company received an Energy Star award from the EPA's Combined Heat & Power Partnership. Here's an interview I did with CleanSkies.tv on that award:

Congrats! I'm associated with Recycled Energy Development, a company that does CHP, especially for manufacturers. It's probably the most unsung global warming solution around. EPA and DoE estimates say it would slash greenhouse emissions by 20%. At the same time, it would cut our energy costs by $70 billion. The only reason more isn't being done is that regulations protecting monopoly utilities make it hard for efficient energy options to emerge. But there are still plenty of opportunities.
