Green Car of the Year
Awards are a great way to generate good green publicity. The greenest this, the lowest impact that and you have publicity handed to you on a platter. A good example is the Green Car of the Year award from greencar.com. Here's their YouTube video announcement:
And the benefits of this award will keep on giving. It generated hundreds of hits on Google News and many of these articles will show up in search results for the VW Jetta TDI for years to come. Bloggers have taken note as well, which will serve to cement those results high on Google rankings.
